アジア時間で発表された主要な経済指標は韓国、日本の貿易収支、中国のLPR（ローンプライムレート）の発表だった。

韓国生産者物価指数は前月比で-0.2％となり、韓国の厳しい経済の現状を映し出した。これを受けウォン安が進みは0.24％高の1170.16となっている。

日本の貿易収支は173億円と4カ月ぶりの黒字となった。輸出は前年比で-9.2％、輸入は-14.8％。

中国のLPRは0.05％引き下げ1年物は4.15％、5年物は4.80％とした。借入コストを軽減することで経済の活性化を狙っている。は0.09％高の7.0335となっている。

トランプ大統領は閣議で「中国は私が望む取引をせざる得ないだろう」と述べ、「中国が合意しないならさらに関税を引き上げる」と合意するように中国へ圧力をかけた。また、米上院は遂に「香港人権・民主主義法案」を可決し、成立までトランプ大統領の署名を待つだけとなった。これを受け中国外務省は強く反発し、成立するなら報復措置を取ると再度警告した。これにより米中協議への懸念が高まり、アジア株式市場は概ね下落している。は0.79％安となっている。

明日午前4時発表のFOMC議事要旨を前に、は0.05％高で推移している。香港人権法案に関する中国の反発が米中関係悪化懸念を高め、ドル買いの流れとなっている。

米債利回りは1.752％まで低下し、は108.52円で推移している。8月26日を起点とする上昇トレンドラインを割ってきており、ドル円は下落基調が強まってきている。
