Nigerian apex bank injects $210m into forex market - Journalducameroun.com - English

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on Tuesday injected $210 million into the country’s foreign exchange market (Forex).According to the figures released by the CBN, the wholesale segment of the foreign exchange market got $100 million, while $55 million each was allocated to the small and medium scale enterprises (SMEs) and the invisibles segments to meet the needs of customers.

The Director in charge of Corporate Communications Department of the CBN, Mr. Isaac Okorafor reiterated the continued mediation in the interbank foreign exchange market by the CBN in order to guarantee stability.

The CBN had last week injected $210m into the foreign exchange market.

The naira has continued its stable run against the US dollar as it exchanged at an average of N362 to $1 in the Bureau De Change segment of the markets in Lagos.
