US dollar closes unchanged on Taipei forex market

Taipei, March 31 (CNA) The U.S. dollar closed unchanged at NT$29.120 against the Taiwan dollar Saturday.

Turnover totaled US$270 million during the trading session.

The greenback opened at the day's high of NT$29.120 and moved to a low of NT$29.068 before rebound.

The turnover was low because many foreign currency traders were away from the trading floor Saturday, when Taipei was the only foreign exchange market opened in the world to make up a loss of a trading session during the upcoming Tomb Sweeping Festival holiday April 4-6, dealers said.
